Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies


Yield: ~2 dozen
Oven temperature: 350
Time: 10 min prep, 10 min bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. salted butter, softened
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 c. oats
  • 2 c. chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix in the eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 
  3. Mix in the flour and oats gradually alternating between the two and then fold in the chocolate chips. 
  4. Scoop the cookies onto the baking tray ~24ish, and then bake on the middle rack of the oven for around 10 minutes. Cookies should be golden brown on the bottom and will set up as they cool.
