Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Chocolate Fudge Brownies with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Yield: 1 - 13" x 9" pan

Time: 10 min prep, 25 min bake

Ingredients:

For the brownie batter:

  • 1 c. salted butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c. dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips (optional)
For the frosting:
  • 3 tbsp. salted butter
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp. dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2-4 tbsp. whole milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325℉ and line/grease one 13" x 9" pan.
  2. In a large microwave safe bowl melt the two sticks of butter. Whisk in the sugar, vanilla, and eggs and beat until smooth.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, dark cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt and stir to combine. Fold in the chocolate chips and then spoon the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are cooked and the center is mostly set. Cool completely.
  4. While the brownies are cooling make the frosting. In a mixing bowl cream together the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in the cocoa powders and 1 tablespoon of milk. Add in the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1 additional tablespoon of milk and beat to combine. You might need to add additional tablespoons of milk to bring it to the consistency that you want. Spread the frosting over the brownies and cut and eat.
